Mickie James Interview: Chair Shot Heard ‘Round the World, TNA, WWE and Hardcore Country!

Mickie James says she realized she had made it in professional wrestling when she captured the WWE Women’s Championship from Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 22.

Chuck Carroll says her moment came seven years earlier when she hit him with the wrong side of a chair at a wrestling school where they were training together.

The TNA Knockout and country music singer joined the show to enlighten Adam Carriker on her time in the business and what it was like working with Chuck way back when.

This is by far and away Chuck’s favorite interview ever!

Portions of the interview aired Sunday morning on the radio broadcast of 4th & Pain on 106.7 The Fan in Washington, D.C. This is the entire interview — nearly totaling 20 minutes.

James talks about her transition from WWE into TNA and ultimately the music business.

She credits Lita with helping her become a better wrestler and counts the aforementioned Stratus among her dear friends.

Her album is scheduled to be early next year and is already generating a buzz in country music circles.
