On Sunday, the superstars of the WWE will be out in full force seeking to dethrone champions, wreak havoc, and for many, finally have a chance for a little payback at Extreme Rules.

The matches are set and due to the use of hardcore wrestling regulations as the main theme of the event, it could be one of the most violent pay-per-view events of the year.

Adam Carriker and Chuck Carroll have their picks locked in and each one is confident that they will come out on top, but Adam still believes he has the upper hand due to his long winning streak. However, Chuck brings up WrestleMania were they tied and according to 4th and Pain rules, the shorter man wins.

Chuck Carroll presents Alfred Morris with the WWE title belt as a four-time 4th & Pain champion.

Morris, who was awarded a WWE Title belt four times as 4th & Pain Champion as a rookie, also makes his prediction for the Extreme Rules pay per view and it’s not good for Triple H.

They’ve become one of the most feared groups in wrestling and have already decimated much of the WWE roster.

But Adam Carriker is tired of seeing a random set of wrestlers thrown together to tackle The Shield, only be overwhelmed.

“I think they have to come up with a faction, a wrestling stable, a group that stays together for a few months at a time to try and counter The Shield. I think that’s the only way they can be beat and I think, really at this point, I’m tired of seeing three random guys,” the Washington Redskins defensive end said.

The question then arises who should be in that faction to counter them?

When Chuck Carroll questions what kind of criteria is needed for the faction, Adam simple states: one wrestler later in their career, one that’s a kind of star in their time and one that’s emerging.

With that clarification, Chuck has his stable all lined up:

Zack Ryder (Emerging Star)

Adam, however, isn’t completely sold on Chuck’s picks.

“Triple H kind of already did it with DX… definitely Evolution. Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder are kind of like comic book characters and The Shield are way to serious,” he says.

“Here’s the other thing I don’t really understand; he doesn’t say ‘Feed Me More’ anymore, instead it’s ‘Ryback Rules’. So he’s gone from good guy to bad guy when he was already over, now he’s changed his catchphrase.”

Chuck agrees with Adam’s viewpoint on Ryback but is quite excited to discuss the havoc that Brock Lesnar bestowed upon Triple H’s office at the WWE Headquarters. The way that Brock wrecks the office through shear force, and a little help from a sledgehammer, adds to the hatred between the two that will culminate at Extreme Rules.

While on the topic of Triple H, Adam voices his opinion on how Triple H just doesn’t seem the same ever since he cut his hair. Adam feels as though there’s something lost when a wrestler goes from long to short hair, and now Triple H just looks like a regular guy. Chuck, on the other hand, may have taken it to the next level:

“You know, I’m comfortable enough to say he was a better looking man with long hair.”

Quickly changing the focus from one possible secret admirer to the next, Chuck asks if the Bella Twins are really Kaitlyn’s secret admirer? Although Adam, and most likely Chuck, would like to believe it’s really Chuck whose the secret admirer, the way the Bella Twins snickered when Kaitlyn received the text on Monday Night Raw has them as prime suspects.

The NFL is rich with players who have a unique story about their past or an event that happened during their NFL career. Only a select few ever get a chance to share. Eric Kettani, fullback for the Washington Redskins, joins teammate Adam and Chuck Carroll to share his story of transitioning from the Naval Academy, to the New England Patriots, to active duty, back to the NFL, back to duty, and eventually in the NFL once again.

Kettani gave a brief synopsis of his travels: “I was at mini camp [with the New England Patriots] for two months and I was shipped off to active duty in the military for which I served for three years total. About two years ago I got released from the Patriots and then about half way through the season, on week 6, I got called back to active duty and I appealed that, then I got signed again with the Patriots.”

Adam asks if he could be deployed once again for active duty. Fortunately, Eric has switched over to the public relations side of the Navy and will be focusing on help recruiting and, of course, playing football.

Before being deployed, he did play college for Navy and speaks about one of the biggest rivalries in college football; Army versus Navy.

“Once you get there, there’s things we say and things we do and everything is ‘Beat Army, Go Navy’.”

However, once in active duty, the rivalry dissipates and they become a band of brothers.

Chuck switches gears over to wrestling and has to know which wrestlers are Eric’s top three favorite of all time? His first two choices seem to be pretty common, Steve Austin and The Rock, then with a little hesitation, Eric decides on Triple H.

When Eric mentions The Rock, Chuck and Adam have to know his stance on the box office star of today is better than The Rock from 10 years ago. Adam is elated to hear that Eric believes that the old school Rock would dismantle the Hollywood Rock without hesitation.

At the end of all 4th and Pain interviews, the interviewee gets to ask Adam one question. Eric asks what’s Adam’s favorite cartoon character. Simply put, his response causes quite the commotion between Adam and Eric which could translate into some possible hazing once in the locker room.

Even though the NFL season doesn’t officially kick off for a few months, the first of many offseason camps has already taken place. Last weekend, the Redskins welcomed the latest crop of freshman to Ashburn for rookie mini camp.

Adam Carriker goes in-depth as to what exactly the rookies were facing during the 72-hour affair.

“A rookie mini camp is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, it’s three days. It used to be two days, twice a day but they have a regular practice without pads in the morning, they have meetings before and meetings after, there’s lifting somewhere in there and then they have a second practice, which is a non-contact walk through,” explains Adam.

Of course there’s a lot more to it.

After a thorough explanation Adam delves into his own personal experience of his rookie mini camp that took place before the new CBA was instated. When he first arrived to the training camp he received mixed reviews as to what to expect; some said it was very easy while others simply said, “you will die from exhaustion.”

“We have 22 guys, 11 on offense and 11 on defense. A typical NFL practice is 2 to 2 ½ hours, so we did a normal NFL practice but without 100 guys like you do in training camp. Oh, you’re getting plenty of reps. It decided to be over 100 degrees and humid.” – Adam discussing the not so pleasant situation of his rookie mini camp.

Adam can only explain it as one of the most horrific experiences of his NFL career all thanks to a few coaches he dealt with over in St. Louis. Unfortunately, that same coach, Jim Haslett, is the Defensive Coordinator for the Redskins. It seems as though Adam just can’t get away.

Debating whether the Rock better in WWE now or during the Attitude Era?

On 4th & Pain, Washington Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker says hands down The Rock was better during the prime of his pro wrestling career. Meanwhile, Chuck Carroll says his box office appeal makes him a far more valuable commodity today.

We start with another “Weight Lifting Tip with the Largest Arms on the D-Line.” This time Adam Carriker examines the benefits of hight reps versus heavy lifting.

Then on 4th & Pain, another week of WWE wrestling has passed us by which only means one; time to recap and look forward to the new week of wrestling. Luckily, Chuck dives right into the discussion without mentioning the name “5 Corners”. He starts off by mentioning Randy Orton and how he could possibly be the next rising star to help fill the thinning roster of WWE superstars.

“He’s won the title about 8 or 9 times. He failed a few drug tests which is why he got bumped down a little bit, but it’s time. He’s over with the crowd, he’s got almost 2 million followers on Twitter.” — Adam comments on Randy Orton rising up in the ranks.

Throwing another name into the ring, Chuck brings up a wrestler whose been mentioned multiple times; Ryback. On Monday Night Raw, Ryback declined a match and walked out, only to return later, but it shows that Ryback could be controlling his own fate and matches. However, Adam who is still a Ryback fan, feels as though the WWE is misusing him and shouldn’t make him out to be a heel. At least he’s not being thrown together into a group to fight The Shield anymore.

Chuck’s become a supporter of The Shield and their whole persona. The way they have their own personalities but are a tight faction and how they create their promo’s. Adam, who agrees with Chuck, still can’t get over the Three Man Band faction and strongly believes there needs to be a different trio to be put up against The Shield.

Lastly, Chuck brings up the tease of Kaitlyn having a secret admirer but Adam has a hunch on who that may very well be; “I have a feeling it’s the guy to my right. I have a feeling it’s the desperate individual sitting to my right.” Is Chuck looking to strip the title away from her backstage?
